What does it mean to have your hair smoothed?

I think we are all familiar with ionic perming, after doing it the hair will  become straight and saggy, although the hair becomes straighter, but some stiff  and dull is not natural enough. It's a little different from the smooth and  flowing effect that you're looking for in a large volume, so there's a technical  item called "smoothing".

The purpose of softening is to break the chain bond structure in the hair  that does not meet the requirements of straight hair, and through the action of  the high temperature electric splint, these chain bonds are reorganised into a  straight arrangement, and the hair will turn from curly to straight. Softening  is the process of softening the hair without straightening it, which results in  a more natural and silky effect than straightening.

In terms of ionic perms, smoothing is only a half-finished product, as the  hair is not shaped by the heat and does not have a straight and sagging effect.  It does, however, soften curly permed hair, or hair that is not straight enough,  to make it straighter, but it is still slightly different from straightening  with an ionic perm.

It's closer to the natural straightness of hair and avoids the unnatural  stiffness of ionic straightening, which is why it's so popular. It's not as  "soft" or "smooth" as you might think, it's only a half-finished product after  all, and if the technique is not done properly, or if it doesn't suit your hair  type, it will not only cause dryness, it will also be easy to beat back the  original shape.

Smoothing is not suitable for sofa and self-curling hair

Softening is not suitable for any hair type, for example, fluffy frizzy sofa  or curly self curling hair is not suitable for the softening method, not only is  it ineffective, but it also hurts the hair quality.

This is because the internal chain bond structure of sofa and curly hair is  inherently curly and the internal structure of the hair cannot be completely  changed by softening alone.

Softening is suitable for hair that has been curled before, or is not quite  straight, such as the bend that is formed by frequent ponytails, and by  softening it turns curly and unstraight hair into a straight condition, and it  works very well. Therefore, not all hair types are suitable for a soft  smoothing.

If you are a couch or self-curling hair type, it is recommended to choose a  method such as ionic ironing or hair straightening to operate, which is much  more effective than smoothing.

Inappropriate methods can be very ineffective

As mentioned earlier, softening is actually a softening of the hair, and only  softening is a half-finished product, without processing the hair, the hair is  completely in a free state, the internal structure of the stability is very  poor, but also very easy to deform.

The correct approach is to use a hairdryer to straighten the hair after  softening, and then to continue styling the hair with ionic perm II, so that the  internal structure can be put back together in a straight state. The stability  of the hair is then much improved after styling and the scales close more  thoroughly for a natural straightening effect that is softer and more  permanent.

Some people, however, cut corners a bit and just soften without styling, and  the internal structure of hair without styling is not stable. You may sleep on  your hair and it will be pressed out and bent, or a ponytail will be formed,  resulting in a soft finish that is not smooth or straight and will leave your  hair frizzy.

Agent II styling water, which is an acidic ingredient, balances the alkaline  ingredients left over from softening and also gives sufficient internal  connection structure to set the hair. After styling, the hair is not only  stable, the relaxed structure of the hair is also tightened and the shine is  only better. So, to do smoothing you must set the hair, otherwise the effect  will be greatly reduced.

Doing your own smoothing at home is not recommended

There are many products on the internet now that say you can do it yourself  at home, but I am actually not in favour of doing it yourself. The reason is  that softening products are highly alkaline and can be very damaging to the  hair. Softening is a very technical project in hairdressing and a poor grasp of  it will not only fail to achieve results but will also make the hair worse and  even break off from the roots.

Although some products are designed to be very gentle, they are actually  designed to add a lot of nutrients to offset some of the alkaline ingredients,  but the softening effect will also be reduced. If you have straight hair  yourself, you'll still have straight hair afterwards, just a little stiffer and  straighter than before, and you won't feel a thing. If you have self-curling  couch hair, you simply won't be able to do the effect yourself at home.

Softening is a very difficult and risky procedure for hairdressers, and for  those of you with no hairdressing experience, there's no telling how high the  risks and chances of failure will be. Therefore, it is better to leave it to the  professionals so that you don't ruin your hair and regret it too late.

The final summary: softening is to do a softening of the hair, so that the  perm curl hair or not too straight hair back to straight hair state; softening  is not what you understand, hair quality is not suitable to do the effect of  softening, but will be more damage to the hair quality; softening is softening,  there is a certain damage to the hair quality, you must let professionals  operate, so as not to mess up the hair.Read more at:formal  dress shops adelaide | white  cocktail dresses
